The three-day Arpissima Festival, co-organized by TSSO and the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, concluded successfully. This event, part of the Chamber Music Festival and the 59th Dimitria Festival, was supported by the French Consulate in Thessaloniki and the French Institute of Thessaloniki.
The festival featured three concerts, a master class by Anaïs Gaudemard, and a harp exhibition organized by Salvi Harps with Lyon & Healy, bringing the harp into the spotlight. On Friday, October 4th, the program "Images, Image of Sounds and Times" was presented, featuring Katerina Kitsu on harp and composition, Dimitris Kitsos on oboe, Giannis Stefos on cello, and Davina Florentine on vibraphone and percussion.
On Saturday, October 5th, Anaïs Gaudemard performed a harp recital with special guest Simos Papana on violin. The festival concluded on Sunday, October 6th, with a harp recital by Electra Pelekis, who participated in the Arpissima Festival as a distinguished artist in the "Listen to the Youth 2024" program.
The innovative "Listen to the Young" program, a collaboration between the Kalogeropoulou Foundation of Corinth, the association DIAZOMA, and the Athens Concert Hall, is supported by the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Konstantakopoulos Foundation, Vinci/Olympia Odos, and the Peloponnese Region. This comprehensive program aims to support emerging musicians in classical music through concerts, recordings, and festivals. It provides outstanding young artists with opportunities to present and develop their work, connect with recognized musicians, festival organizers, and potential sponsors.
