The 17th International Competition ‘Dimitris Mitropoulos’ for Composition was successfully concluded yesterday, with the performance of the 4 finalists’ works by the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Miltos Logiadis.
The Jury, consisting of Tan Dun (Chairman), David Bruce, Michalis Economou, Christos Hatzis, Christos Samaras, and John Psathas, announced the following results:
- Daniel (Jingyang) Cui (China), 1st Prize
- Evripides Bekos (Greece), 2nd Prize
- Francesco Darmanin (Italy),3rd Prize
