Maria Anissegou

Maria Anissegou was born in Stuttgart, Germany. She studied cello at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki with Professor Dimitris Patras. In 2001, she continued her studies initially at the Würzburg University of Music in the class of Prof. Jörg Metzger and from 2003 at the Leipzig University of Music in the class of Prof. Peter Hörr. In 2007, she graduated from the aforementioned school with the title of “Diplommusiker”. During her studies, she won the “Alexandra Trianti” scholarships of the Athens Concert Hall Friends of Music Association and the I.K.Y. (State Scholarships Foundation) scholarship. Maria Anisegkou has given recitals, chamber music concerts and has appeared at important festivals in Greece and abroad. He has collaborated as a soloist with the Thessaloniki Municipality Symphony Orchestra. He is a member of the Trio IAMA, which consists of the three brothers Antonis Anisegos, Yannis Anissegos and Maria Anisegos. The Trio IAMA has recorded for Dissonance Records (IAMA - Present Perfect Vol. 1). He is also a founding member of the VersUs Ensemble. He has collaborated with the Contra Tempo chamber orchestra, the Dissonart Ensemble, was a member of TrioFor and the Ionian Festival Ensemble. Since 2007 he has lived in Thessaloniki, is a permanent member of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra and teaches at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
