Today, the esteemed Thessaloniki pianist Nora Loukidou passed away. She served the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra (TSSO) for many years as Principal A and performed as a soloist with the TSSO and all major Greek orchestras.
In 1970, she recorded the TSSO's first album in the USA with conductor Solon Michaelides, featuring works by Rachmaninoff and McDowell.
