The new cycle of concerts of the TSSO 'Students and Teachers' began beautifully, with the leading violinist of the State Orchestra of Athens (K.O.A.), Katerina Hadjinikolaou, interpreting the highly demanding violin concerto in one movement by Niccolò Paganini. The first part of this concerto was arranged by Fritz Kreisler, who also created his own wonderful concerto. Katerina Hadjinikolaou won the warm applause of the audience and responded with an encore, accompanied by the orchestra with pizzicato of the soloist. In the second part, the emblematic symphony by Anton Bruckner followed, celebrating 200 years since his birth this year, with his unfinished Ninth Symphony. The orchestra, under the musical direction of Leo McFall, gave the city's audience the opportunity to fully enjoy one of the most important symphonic works ever written.
