“Sergio Assad: Naoussa Concerto & Concerto Do Rio” was released by Da Vinci 04 August 2025

The CD “Sergio Assad: Naoussa Concerto & Concerto Do Rio” was released by Da Vinci Publishing.

The Thessaloniki State Orchestra recorded the “Naoussa Concerto” for guitar and symphony orchestra by the multi-award-winning Brazilian composer and guitarist Sergio Assad, together with the internationally renowned Naoussa guitarist Thanos Mitsalas and the conductor Miltos Logiadis. The Thessaloniki State Orchestra also performed the world premiere of the work on April 20, 2022, under the musical direction of Vladimiros Symeonidis and with Thanos Mitsalas as soloist, participating in the historical memory events of the Municipality of the Heroic City of Naoussa for the 200th Anniversary of the city’s Holocaust.
