The TSSO connected live with schools all over Greece 10 March 2022

The Thessaloniki State Orchestra today connected online with 254 Primary Schools and 124 Gymnasiums from every corner of Greece, as part of the series of online educational activities ‘Knowing the instruments of the Symphony Orchestra’ that brings students in contact with the instruments of a symphony orchestra. The students got acquainted with the woodwinds and the horn, watching musicians of the TSSO present musical instruments, talk about them and play a representative repertoire by forming a quintet. The students talked at the end with the musicians and expressed questions and inquiries regarding the musical instruments, but also the profession of the musician in general. A total of 10,500 Primary School students and 7,000 High School students attended the program live.
